Painter, muralist, lithographer and educator
The following information was supplied from Michael Di Cerbo, The Old Print Shop, Inc.: Sternberg has spent much of his life in the art world of New York City. He studied at the Art Students League, and spent two years in private instruction on graphics from Harry Wickery. From 1933 to 1968 , he taught a variety of courses, mostly dealing with printmaking, at the Art Students League. He also taught at other schools during that time. Sternberg's prints have won prizes and appeared in a number of exhibitions, including many retrospectives and one-man shows.
