*Controversial* Did the artists really exist? Original works of art indeed, however, if they date early to mid 1900s is questionable, as is the status of the artist. African American, Earl Washington printed many woodblock prints of images of scenes of industry as well as religious studies. Reserch shows the possiblility of contemporary artist, Earl Washington, creating these works, making them look aged, and selling them as works of his "grandfather" Earl M. Washington. The actual existance of his grandfather remains questionable! Nonetheless, these images are quite impressive and carefully capture the reality of the images depicted.
