Mary Regensburg Feist
American Painter
American, (11/22/1914–3/31/2014)
Studied with Toni Nell on Saturdays as a young girl.
Studied at the Dalton School and was excused each day at noon to study at the Grand Central School of Art.
Between 1932-1936 Mary studied under John Sloan, (then President of the Art Student's League), and in the summer of 1936 with Sloan in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
She studied at Sloan's studio on 22nd Street and finally privately with the same.
Additionally, Mary studied at Archipenko's studio across from Art Student's League on W. 57th Street.
Purchased interior design business from friend Evelyn Rosenfeld and operated it as same from her home for many years.

Mary's solo exhibition, "Family and Friends", was at the Westmoreland Museum of Art in Greensburg, PA, in 1996.
